WHO IS GOD? PART 3

by Medrick Mwale

Who is God? Connection with him

Easy connection with God power

To understand who God is, we need to
take a view based on the relationship we
share with him.

To attempt to explain the connection that
we have with God, we usually depends on
our religion to define the degree
of spirituality. Mostly we use our
emotions, traditions, doctrines and
pure logic. These elements play an
important role in defining our
relationship with God.

However, to vividly understand
this connection, we must know that it
was his love that moved first
(1 John 4:19) through his son our lord Jesus Christ.
God became incarnate of the virgin
Mary (John 1:14). The infinite God
became infant and the maker became
man thereby standing in the gap between
God and man (John 14:6). Through Jesus
we can have forgiveness of sins,
reconciliation with God and ultimately
have eternal salvation.

According to Colossians 2:9 we read
that all the fullness of the deity lives in
bodily form. Hence to really understand
and know who God really is, all we need
to do is to fix our eyes on JESUS CHRIST

CONCLUSION

In trying to answer the question, WHO IS GOD? In these series of articles (parts 1,2 & 3); I have but only touched the surface to provide a picture of who God is by bringing out some few points and scriptures to help us define him. Nonetheless, We must understand that, it is impossible to fully define God because God is incomprehensible, but it’s imperative to try to understand him and his ways as well as his perfect will. When we speak of God, we must have a lot of veneration for the Almighty because we really are nothing before God.

GOD BLESS YOU!!!

WHO IS GOD? PART 2

by Medrick Mwale

GOD'S CHARACTER AND WORK

Who is God? Character

Character is simply the mental and moral qualities of someone or something. In a simpler way, its one’s personality. So, what is God’s character?
With reference to the holy book, here are some of Gods characteristics:
·         God is Loving- this can be found in the John 3:16 and Ephesians 2:4-5 and 1 John 4:7-21
·         God is just- God is impartial, equitable and fair-minded Acts 17:31
·         God is light- read 1 John 1:5
·         God is merciful- Romans 9:15
·         God is gracious- Romans 5:17
·         God is compassionate- 2 Corinthians1:3
·         God is forgiving- Psalms 130:4
·         God judges’ sin- Psalms 5:5
God is holy- 1 Peter 1:16

Who is God? Work

We cannot understand God apart from the activities he does, because what God does portray his true picture of who he is.
God work can be traced right from the very beginning (past) Genesis 1:1. Currently God actively sustains the world (present) Colossians1:17 and is executing his everlasting plan (future) Ephesians 1:11 which entails the redemption of man from sin and death. God invites and draws us to Christ (John 6:44), he disciplines his children (Hebrews 12:6) and he will bring the world to judgement Revelation 20:11-15.
Basically, the things have mentioned above are only a summary of a huge pool of works that God does.

THE CHRISTIAN’S SPIRITUAL MIRROR

by: Medrick Mwale

THE TRUTH YOU REALLY NEED TO KNOW

A mirror is a surface, typically of glass coated with a metal amalgam, which reflects a clear image. In this article I refer to the Ten Commandments as  a Christian’s spiritual mirror, and here is why!

To start with we must understand that indeed the Ten Commandments were and are our school master to bring us to Christ Jesus. The ten commandments are a spiritual mirror to show you and i that we are out of shape. The mirror can not make you healthy; it can only show you that you are out of shape.

The Ten Commandments can not make you spiritually perfect, they can only help you identify that you have gone out of the way just like the mirror tells you that you are out of shape.

"A young man looked into the mirror, while he was in  his birth suit,  he noticed from the reflection of himself from the mirror that he had a flabby chest, his stomach was fat, and his arms were weak. He immediately took action and went and got a personal trainer, and he started an exercise program, eating healthy and working out. He drunk water, instead of soft drinks and he ate grilled meat instead fried and he ate a lot of fresh vegetables. After doing this  steadily for a while, he went and looked into the mirror yet again.  To his astonishment he was in great shape."

Did the mirror get him in Shape? Certainly Not!

The same goes for godliness, which is being spiritually in shape. The trainer in the story is the Holy spirit. The water, meat, and vegetables are the word of God (66 good love letter or Holy Bible). The exercise program is the godliness (Living by Faith and being with Christ). Therefore, if you accept Christ Jesus as your personal savior, you become the child of God and receive the Holy Spirit. If you walk in the spirit you will not fulfill the lusts of the fresh and therefore you are demonstrating godliness of holiness. Remember we are called to be holy (1 peter 1:15).

Now take time and carefully look at the Spiritual Mirror and tell me what you see? Are you in Good Spiritual Shape? If not, worry not, just look at the cross and see Jesus Christ, for he is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes (Romans 10:4).
